Brisbane Futsal Academy

The Brisbane Futsal Academy is aimed at those players wanting to develop their  technical skills and game awareness and who strive to play futsal at a higher level. Our academy is run out of the Bowen Hills YMCA, a state-of-the-art indoor sports venue with fantastic facilities.

Our professionally run program and highly motivated and passionate coaches will ensure a positive coaching experience for all players. Our aim is to expose our junior players to an intensive program which will improve their skill, agility and confidence which in turn will foster a greater love of the game.

The Academy will be directed at ages 9 to 14yrs (boys) with identified female players being referred to the Queensland Girls Futsal Academy.  A trial process will be conducted to select players to participate in the program for the duration of October to December 2014 and February to April 2015.

Players will be selected on ability, attitude, work ethic and commitment. The academy is split into 2 semesters, to target different competitions,

Semester 1 Targets:

• Queensland Summer League
• Inter Academy Games
• Set up squads for semester 2

Semester 2 Targets:

• Craig Foster International Cup
• Qld State Titles

All registered players from Arana United and Brisbane Magic Futsal Clubs are eligible to attend trials.

• 14 selected players per age group
• Weekly Saturday morning training sessions at Bowen Hills YMCA, 95 Abbotsford Road
• Participation in inter-academy games
• Participation in the Qld Summer Futsal League
• Participation in the Craig Foster Cup
• Participation in the Football Qld State Titles
• Avenues for interstate and international tours for 2015 are being explored

Girls       12.00pm – 1.15pm
14yrs       12.45pm – 2.00pm

Semester 2 Weekly academy sessions will recommence in February 2015 right up to the Football Queensland State Futsal Titles on the Easter Weekend (4th & 5th April).
